The team running Bideford’s community art, education and heritage project – Way of the Wharves – created this stunning piece of informative art on the quayside wall, next to the Tarka the Otter sculpture.
The Burton Art Gallery and Museum is over 65 years old. With its friendly team of staff and volunteers, it has been celebrating, exhibiting and nurturing all kinds of artists since being established on 31 October, 1951 by Thomas Burton and Hubert Coop.
The Pannier Market was built in 1884 to house a fish market, butchery stalls and corn exchange. It is very much still the heart of town and runs Tuesdays through to Saturdays, whilst Butchers’ Row is open Monday to Saturday.
