Bideford Boxing Club

The history of boxing in Bideford dates back to the early 1900s when the sport gained popularity in the region. Bideford Amateur Boxing Club was founded in 1929 and has since produced several successful boxers, including national champions. The club has had many homes over the years, including a former cinema and a disused school, before settling into its current location at Pollyfield Community Centre.

In addition to producing several national champions over the years, the club has also played an important role in keeping young people off the streets and out of trouble. The Bideford Boxing Club is not just a place to learn how to box; it is an essential part of the community fabric that helps shape young lives for the better.
