Bideford Youth Pipe Band

The Bideford Youth Pipe Band is based in the "Little white town" of Bideford on the rugged North Devon coast. We formed in 1991, the band is made up of youngsters between the ages of 10 and 18, together with their teachers. We play a range of traditional Scottish favourites like 'Scotland the Brave', 'Black Bear' and 'The Skye Boat Song' as well as unlikely pipe tunes like the Beatles classic 'Yellow Submarine' and the Elvis Presley's 'Wooden Heart' .

Every year the band, with the assistance from the Port of Bideford Regatta, put on the spectacular Massed Pipes & Drums after Bideford Carnival. The next one will be be on Saturday 12th September. Pipe bands from all over the South West, as well as further afield, join together and perform on Bideford's historic quay.
