Family-Friendly Town Events

  • Kicking off the month on Saturday 1st July, we have the annual Bideford Port of Regatta on the River Torridge with races commencing at 3pm.  Come along and support the rowers. This is a FREE to watch event.
  • East The Water are also hosting their Community Day on the 1st July with bouncy castles, crazy golf and lots of fun activities for the family
  • On the 9th of July Bideford AFC hosts their annual Charity Sellebrity Soccer Charity Football March with a variety of celebrities set to play including Callum Best, James Arthur, Dan Osborne and James Argent. Raising Funds For 2 Charities C-R-Y Cardiac Risk in The Young & Chem Hero
  • If football is not your thing why not pop along to the Quay to support the many cyclists attempting the Tour of Torridge Cycle on the 9th of July 
  • On 21st July Bideford's Got Talent - a moment to shine! The competition promises to be a fantastic event that offers the opportunity for individuals to showcase their skills, impress the audience, and potentially win a cash prize.

Markets

  • The Continental Food Market on the Quay runs Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July, with delicious food and tasty treats.
  • On Saturday 1st July the regular Arts and Crafts Fair up at the Pannier Market will be showcasing some of the best local traders showcasing their crafts, and unique gifts from handmade pottery to jewellery, and honey to homewares.
  • On Saturday, July 8th we have Devon Traders Association Health & Holistic Fayre held at Pannier Market. Come along and eat, relax and learn
  • With a motto of 'Fresh and Local' Bideford Farmers Market on the Quay provides the best quality products that are farm fresh and/or produced in the local area. Next market in July is on Saturday, 15th.
  • On Saturday, July 22nd  Traditional Market at Bideford Pannier Market with a fabulous mix of stalls from veg to teddy bears and lots in between
  • On Sunday 23rd July Bidefoodfest is back with lots of tasty treats in the Pannier Market
  • Curioristies, bric a brac and boot sale items with be found at The Curiosity Market on Saturday 30th July

Art Exhibitions & Craft Workshops

  • On Saturday 15th July the new exhibition 'Revealing The Human Form' opens at The Burton howcasing the work of renowned British sculptors including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Jacob Epstein, and Antony Gormley. FREE Entry
  • Silver ring making, Soap making, stained glass, drawing, printworks, candle making, the Repair Cafe ... these are just a few of the interactive art and craft workshops you can join in with

Music & Entertainment

  • A fun ladies' night in the Pannier Market on 15th July with lot of drinks, lots of laughs and a whole lot of naughtiness including cheeky Butlers and a Show that is guaranteed to get your pulses racing!!
  • Bideford College is putting on its performance The Wizard Of Oz 12th, 13th and 14th July.
  • Fancy catching a film? check our what's on offer this month at Bideford Cinema at Kingsley School. Or perhaps you fancy your luck at Bingo?
  • For music lovers The Palladium has lots of live music events. The Pannier Market Live Music is on offer with lots of other options to hear live music in various pubs throughout the town
  • The BIG Sheep is hosting a Teachers Rock Choir on 1st July . The festival features a Choir and Teachers Rock® Youth Choirs (made up of schools from across the South West) for a festival celebrating singing and wellbeing under the direction of Teachers Rock® founder Debbie Kent.
  • Other music events on offer at The Big Sheep include Summer Sounds: North Devon Bands fan event or all ages 

Health & Wellbeing

  • If fitness is your thing there are many clubs throughout the town as well as drop-in activities including  yoga and of course the park run,
