Residential Family Assessment Centre

Tide House is an Ofsted registered service that provides high quality, independent, evidence-based assessment of parents and families with a range of difficulties, together with a range of therapies and practical support to help parents overcome those difficulties.

In every aspect of our work our priority is the well being, and best interests of children. Our unique assessment, recording and reporting system provides placing authorities, courts and families themselves with a clear picture of each family's strengths and weaknesses, what help is needed and what progress is possible.

We have our own therapists, a domestic abuse specialist practitioner and Assessment Support Staff all of whom have in depth experience of people and families with complex difficulties. Our areas of expertise include drugs, alcohol, Mental Health, relationship problems, domestic violence and learning difficulties. Our risk management capabilities enable us to consider higher risk placements where full time monitoring or chaperoning may initially be needed.

We are in located in town with all neccessary amenities nearby and work in partnership with our local GP surgery, Health Visitors, Drug and Alcohol treatment agencies and other community groups.
