What's going on?
If there's one thing Bideford is good at it's celebrations! There are regularly events held on our historic quay, in fact our New Years Eve celebrations have been nationally recognised.
'Grab that Teletubbies costume and make your way to the quay at Bideford, where you'll be joined by thousands of fancily dressed revellers. There's an outdoor road show from 6pm to ensure everyone gets their groove on, and at midnight the bells of St Mary's church ring in the new year and set off a spectacular firework display. Partygoers used to try to run across the 13th-century Long Bridge before the sound of the final chime died away but nowadays they merely crack open some more fizz. And who can blame them?' - The Guardian
So whether we're launching fireworks, bring dancing robots to Jubilee Square or simply celebrating the diversity of the town, there's always something going on within our town. Visit the Events page for more information.
Bideford can be accessed from all nearby towns and cities through Stagecoach. If you're travelling from further afield both Megabus and National Express have regular routes to the town of Bideford.
