Victoria Park Paddling Pool Bideford Kingsley Road

Opened in 1912 to celebrate Queen Victoria's reign, Victoria Park is one of the jewels in Bideford's crown; any Bidefordian will tell you how lucky we are to have a park of this calibre in the heart of the town. The beautifully maintained park is surrounded by carefully tended flowerbeds and history including the War Memorial situated near to the Burton.  Within the park is a fort, surrounded by nine cannons which are believed to have been captured by the Spanish Armada, now primarily used for children to play out their games.

Recreationally there is plenty to do at Victoria Park, including:

  • Two childrens play areas
  • Table Tennis
  • Table Games
  • Childrens paddling pool
  • Full size football pitch
  • Basketball Court (1/3)
  • Outdoor gym

Victoria Park is also home to The Burton at Bideford Art Gallery, Cafe Du Parc and the Poolside Kiosk. Visit their pages to find out more!

There is a cricket club down the other side of the park and a bowls club which was originally established in 1950, the Men’s and Ladies clubs merged in 2005 to form the mixed Bideford Victoria Park Bowling Club.
