Ellerton B&B

Ellerton Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the heart of Bideford, in a quiet cul-de-sac, a short walk from the town centre and offers clean, warm and comfortable accommodation and a friendly atmosphere at a competitive price.

Each of our spacious, light and airy rooms has either en-suite facilities or adjacent private bathrooms. They are tastefully furnished, and fully equipped with a well-stocked hospitality tray, free Wifi and flatscreen Freeview TV, to ensure a pleasant stay. We provide a full English breakfast with vegetarian and gluten-free choices, or lighter options if you prefer. There is free, unlimited on road parking and secure storage for large items, such as surfboards, bikes and motorbikes. It is ideal for holiday makers, business travellers, singles, couples, students and families, and is available for short and longer-term stays.

We are ideally located for all the local attractions that Bideford offers, including nearby bars and restaurants. Ellerton is the perfect base for walkers along the South West Coast Path and cyclists, as the famous Tarka Trail passes through Bideford. We are conveniently situated for catching the Oldenberg Ferry to the increasingly popular Lundy Island, as the terminal is within an easy flat walking distance.

Bideford has a fascinating heritage, which can be explored on foot, within Bideford and across the river Torridge in East-the-Water. We can supply reference brochures and maps for these. There is also a large park in the centre of the town, close to Ellerton, which is home to the Burton art gallery and museum.

There are glorious sandy beaches in the vicinity, including Westward Ho! which is popular with surfers, and the quaint fishing village of Appledore. The yachting paradise of Instow is within easy reach by road or ferry across the river Torridge, and nearby Milky Way and Big Sheep attractions provide alternative entertainment. Ellerton is on a regular bus route, linking Westward Ho!, Appledore, Barnstaple town and railway station, and Ilfracombe. Exeter and Clovelly are also accessible from the bus stop just outside. With so much to see and do here, you will be spoilt for choice!
