Ned uses drift wood, recycled wood and scrap metal to create a wide range of animal subjects. Old tools are an important part of some of the sculptures and many donations have come from people clearing out sheds and garages! Having studied zoology and entomology favourite subjects are insects, Crustacea and fish.
Juliette works with Ned in the Curious Creatures Gallery. She uses recycled glass and pottery collected from local beaches and broken crockery to make 2D and 3D creations. Her work can take the form of fish, birds, insects and mammals. Ideas and inspiration come from the patterns and colours of the discarded crockery she uses. She often makes use of scrap metal in her work to add interest and texture. Juliette teaches mosaic workshops.
