New Homes Bonus

For the last three years Torridge District Council (TDC) have allocated the New Homes Bonus payments towards funding local projects within the community. Successful recipients of the grants this year have recieved between £1,000 and £10,000 towards their chosen projects. This now brings the total funding provided by the NHB scheme to communities within our district to just under £800,000!

This year the following were recipients within the Bideford and surrounding area.

Bideford Blues - Boat house and equipment refurbishments
Tai-Chi Bideford – Chairs for spectators and participants
Bideford Bay Nippers – Rescue & safety equipment
Westward Ho! Business Association – Entertainment equipment for regular events
Bideford Train Station - Refurbishment
Bideford, Littleham and Westward Ho! Cricket Club - Equipment and rollers
Bideford Town Council - Cooper Street art columns
St Mary's School - Playground refurbishments
